Love

1 Corinthians 13

When I was younger, my family and I used to memorize scripture. We would always choose scriptures that could be directly applied in our lives after memorizing them. One month our family was having trouble loving each other, so my mom had us memorize 1 Corinthians 13. The book talks about why we should love, what will happen when we love, and how love is ultimately selfless.

Memorizing the scripture as a family was really important in helping us love each other further. My family began to appreciate each other better, and we realized that love is not about ourselves, but that love is about God and caring for those around us. The power of love, and the power of God's love is so important in people's lives. If we love those around us, while accepting God's love in our lives, we will have a blessed and fruitful life. And we will see this blessing be spread to those that we love.

Love is one of the most powerful unspoken languages in the world. When a person feels loved, it's proven that they work better and can function better in everything that we do. We should all love those around us, rather then putting them down. We will be blessing those around us, and we will see the fruits of these blessings.

God, help us to love those around us. Help us to show those around us how much we care. You are a God of love, and we want You to work through us in everything we do. We rely on You God, thank you for being You. Amen.
